Chris Roy – Founder & Beat Writer
Chris has been in sports journalism for the last nine years. Prior to that, he spent his days as a collection agent, both in the field and behind a desk, but he decided it was time to find a new and exciting challenge. Chris began writing for MVN, an online magazine, covering sports from a fan perspective. After building the respect of his peers, he began covering the Portland Pirates, Portland Sea Dogs, auto racing and high school sports for several news organizations including Biddeford’s Journal Tribune and York County Coast Star. Realizing there was a need for better hockey coverage in the State of Maine, Chris along with Nathan Fournier began Maine Hockey Journal in 2008, providing hockey coverage from around the state.
