While Biddeford largely controlled the tempo for the first two periods, Waterville blocked shot after shot, and kept the score tied at zero after two periods.
The third period, on the other hand, was a different story.
The scoring started two and a half minutes into the third, when Waterville’s Dalton Dennis recovered a rebound behind the goal, and passed it a few feet in front of the Biddeford crease to teammate Chris Lee, who tapped the puck in off the pass, and broke the tie.
Just forty seconds later, Biddeford would tie things up when Biddeford’s Tyson Nadeau passed the puck to James Jamieson, at the point, who fired a laser past Waterville goalie Cody Thibodeau.
Waterville went ahead just another minute and eleven seconds later, with the goal being scored again by Chris Lee. After Biddeford’s Taylor Reuillard bobbled the puck in the offensive zone, Waterville forward Aaron Saucier jumped on the puck, skated the length of the ice, and tapped it over to Lee, who potted his second goal of the night.

“We were down and we just needed to get one and we were just battling in front for it,” said Lemieux. “The rebound came out to me and I just had to put it in there. We just needed that one goal to get us going, and once we got that one goal, we just kept on rolling.”
About 45 seconds later, Jerome added another assist to his scoresheet, as he sent a bullet pass from the Biddeford defensive end to Tyson Nadeau. Nadeau stick handled around (Waterville goalie) and put Biddeford in the lead for the final time of the night.
After five goals were scored in four minutes, play settled down for a while, until Biddeford’s Corey Brown added the sixth and final goal of the game, with 3:30 left in the period.
After the game, Biddeford coach Rich Reissfelder had nothing but compliments for Waterville.
“Waterville played great,” he said. “They’re a hard working team. I mean, they only have two wins this year. They had a ton of blocked shots, and that’s what hard working teams do; they sacrifice.”
