Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today that forward Tyler Ennis has been recalled from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.

The 20 year-old forward arrived in Buffalo, NY this morning and is available to be in the line-up tonight when the Sabres take on the Tampa Bay Lightning at HSBC Arena.

Ennis heads to the Sabres as the leading rookie scorer in the American Hockey League with 23 goals and 42 assists for 65 points in 69 games. He previously played one game with the Sabres and registered his first NHL goal.

The Pirates return home for games tonight (Saturday) and Sunday at the Cumberland County Civic Center.
