Maineiacs Notes

Sunday will be the second time the Maineiacs will face the Sagueneens. Lewiston defeated Chicoutimi 2-1 in a shootout. MacAdam expects another close contest on Sunday.

“Their top line is a very skilled line and they are a hard working team,” MacAdam mentioned. “There aren’t going to be too many easy games in this league this year. I am sure they want to return the favor on Sunday afternoon; it will be a very good game.

When he’s ready he will start

Jordan KennedySo far this season Adrien Lemay has started every game this season when will Jordan Kennedy see some action? I asked Don MacAdam that very question after the game against Montreal on Friday night.

“We would like to get him as soon a possible,” said MacAdam. “It just depends if he’s ready and making sure that the team is solid enough for him to have success.”

Lemay faced 42 shots on Friday night that was the most shots he has faced this season. Will Kennedy start on Sunday? That hasn’t been decided yet by the coaching staff. You have to say Sunday is a great possibility. It’s a home game; the team has everyone back, and next weekend two powerhouses come in.

It’s hard to believe the team will throw Kennedy to the wolves in either Thursday’s night game against Drummondville or next Sunday’s contest against Quebec. Kennedy hasn’t played since first of September.

Big Night for former Maineiacs in Woodstock

The Woodstock Slammers defeated the Weeks Crushers 7-4 in MJAHL action Friday night. Former Maineiacs defenseman Sean Stagles had a goal and three assists. Nick Huard had a goal and an assist in the victory.

Brewer native Dylan Fitzpatrick didn’t factor in the scoring.
