Portland, ME – It would appear the Portland Pirates are getting a second chance at hosting an All-Star Classic event.

The Portland Pirates along with the American Hockey League have scheduled a press conference for tomorrow at 2:00pm at the Cumberland County Civic Center to announce the Pirates organization has been awarded the 2010 All-Star Classic.

The City of Portland last hosted the event in 2003, which was hampered by some technical difficulties, as Canada beat PlanetUSA, 10-7, in front of a sold out crowd.

The public is invited to attend the event being held at the Penalty Box Grille inside the Civic Center.
