Sabres sign Turnbull to entry-level contract

Portland, ME – According to Andy Strickland of AM1380 ESPN in St. Louis, Missouri, the Buffalo Sabres have signed St. Louis native Travis Turnbull to a two-year entry-level contract.

Turnbull, 22, played four seasons with the University of Michigan where he scored 40 goals, 50 assists for 90 points in a 166 games.

He will report to Portland today and will meet the team in Lowell as they prepare for their final three-in-three weekend with a games in Lowell and Providence before returning to the Cumberland County Civic Center on Sunday against the Springfield Falcons.
