Another hat trick in Maineiacs win

Val d’Or, QC- Last night it was Max Gratchev who potted three goals in the victory, this time it was Danick Paquette in the 4-2 victory over the Val d’Or Foreurs.

Marc Bourgeois added the other tally. Adrien Lemay made 41 saves in the victory.

Alexandre Monahan and Kevin Guérette-Charland were the Foreurs goal scorers. Raffaele D’Orso made 30 saves in the loss.

After two scoreless periods, things opened up in the third. Paquette would get a shorthanded goal 3:17 into the period. 40 seconds later, Kevin Guérette-Charland would score a powerplay tally. Sasha Famin and Derek Famulare would pick up the helpers.

With 4:10 remaining, Paquette would get his 22nd of the season. Pierre-Olivier Morin was the only player to get credited with an assist. Alexandre Monahan would pot his 20th with 1:36 remaining. Maxime Sauvé and Matthew Lachaine put an assist in the assist column.

Marc Bourgeois would get the eventual game winner with 31 seconds left. Nick Huard and Dominic Savoie picked up the assists. Paquette would add an empty netter with 15 seconds left. Gratchev would tally the lone assist.

With two seconds left players would pair up. Denis Reul and Alexandre Monahan would get misconducts. Samuel Finn, Nick Huard, and Marc Bourgeois would also get penalties. Christian Morin, Sasha Famin, and Shawn Morton-Boutin were sent off for Val d’Or.
