Portland, ME – This is the first week since the start of the D-III season that no teams from Maine were in the USCHO.com D-III poll. Bowdoin College, who ranked 15th in the last poll dropped out with a thud after they lost a pair of games over the weekend to New England College and St. Anselm. Bowdoin’s record now stands at 6-4-1 (3-3-1 NESCAC), losing four of their last five games.
Colby College (4-6-1, 3-4-0 NESCAC) is starting to make some positive gains after a six game winless streak. In the last three games, the Mules are 2-1 and have a big weekend ahead at home with Williams College and #5 ranked Middlebury.
Southern Maine (6-6-0, 4-3-0 ECAC East) is also starting to gain ground in the ECAC East standings, sitting tied for second with New England College. The Huskies have a game on Tuesday night against Suffolk University at USM Ice Arena.
