Portland, ME – When the Buffalo Sabres signed goaltender Jhonas Enroth this summer the hope was to develop the young Swede into the future successor of Sabres’ current netminder Ryan Miller.

At the halfway point of the season, all appears to be on track for the Sabres’ plans, as they have no intention on rushing him to the NHL, before he’s mastered the game in North America.

In 24 games with the Pirates this season, the rookie goaltender has posted a 13-7-0-2 record with a 2.44 GAA and a .919 save percentage. Enroth also has two shutouts on the season.
