Pryor commits to Maine

Chris Heisenburg is reporting the University of Maine picked up Des Moines Buccaneers (USHL) defenseman Nick Pryor for the 2009-2010 season. The 18-year-old has five goals and ten assists in 21 games. He was a 7th round selection of the former parent club of the Portland Pirates, the Anaheim Ducks.

Last two seasons he was a member of the National Team Development Program. Last year he had 3 goals and 11 assists in 45 games.

He committed to the University of Wisconsin when he was 15-years-old but decommitted at the beginning of this season. According to Sixty Minutes. No Alibis. No Regrets, who also broke this story mentioned Maine lost out on John Ramage who’s currently with the National Team Development Program.
