Portland, ME — Because Mike Weber was recalled by the Sabres yesterday, the Pirates brought in Matt MacDonald from Cincinnati of the ECHL. MacDonald played six games for the Pirates early this season, going scoreless and was a minus-2.

Also, don’t be surprised if the Pirates/Sabres don’t look at bringing in a couple players from the now defunct Augusta Lynx organiaztion of the ECHL.
