ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has assigned right wing Jason King to the Portland Pirates, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

King, 26 (9/14/81), was recalled from Portland on Oct. 6 and made his Ducks debut that night against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh. He appeared in two games for Anaheim, going scoreless.

Acquired from Vancouver with a third-round selection in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for center Ryan Shannon on June 23, 2007, King scored two goals in the Pirates’ season opener vs. Springfield on Oct. 5 in Portland. He was originally assigned to Portland on Sept. 24.
