Portland, ME – The Portland Pirates are glad 2006 is over. Ryan Callahanâs shorthanded goal sealed the Pirates fate as the Hartford Wolf Pack defeated Portland 2-0 in front of a capacity crowd of 7,005 at the Cumberland County Civic Center on New Yearâs Eve.

Worcester, Mass. – The effort was certainly there. Unfortunately the Portland Pirates couldnât grab a hold of lady luck as they fell in a shootout, 3-2 to the Worcester Sharks in front of 6,049 at the DCU Center on Saturday night.

ANAHEIM, Calif. – The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Sebastien Caron from Portland, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). The Ducks also announced that the club has reassigned goaltender David McKee to the Augusta Lynx, Anaheim’s development affiliate in the ECHL.
