Ellis, 29, will be entering his third season with the Sabres after being claimed on waivers from the Los Angeles Kings. The Lewiston Maineiacs suffered their second loss in as many nights to the Quebec Remparts, falling 6-4, at Ancienne-Lorette Arena in Ancienne-Loretta, QC. The Maineiacs actually held a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes of play on goals by Jess Tanguy and Samuel Carrier. The Remparts broke through scoring their lone goal against Jordan Kennedy at 2:24 of the second period. After beginning the preseason undefeated, the Lewiston Maineiacs suffered their first loss of the preseason in a big way, falling 8-1 to Patrick Roy’s Quebec Remparts at the Premiere Tech Centre in Riviere du Loup, QC. After holding a 1-0 lead on a Patrick Walsh power play goal, the Remparts exploded for seven goals in second period.
